In Short: By using ZenFocus, you agree to these terms. The app is provided "as is" for personal use. Your sessions and settings stay on your device; the app sends anonymous usage and crash data that you can switch off — see the Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using ZenFocus ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
ZenFocus is a mindfulness and focus timer application that helps users:
- Track meditation, exercise, and study sessions
- Monitor focus time and progress
- Play ambient sounds during focus sessions
- View statistics and session history
3. User Responsibilities
3.1 Appropriate Use
You agree to use the App:
- For personal, non-commercial purposes
- In compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Without attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
3.2 Account and Data
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your device
- All activities that occur through your use of the App
- Backing up your data (all data is stored locally on your device)
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 App Ownership
ZenFocus and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
4.2 Third-Party Content
The App uses ambient sound effects from Pixabay.com under the Pixabay License. Attribution is not required but is appreciated.
5. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your information. Key points:
- Your session records, statistics and settings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded
- The App sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to Google Firebase; you can turn this off in Settings → Privacy → Usage & Diagnostics
- We do not collect personal information, precise location, or advertising identifiers, and we do not sell any data
- No user accounts or registration required
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code
- Any errors or omissions in any content
8. Health and Safety
ZenFocus is a wellness tool and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have any health concerns, please consult with a qualified healthcare provider.
9. Updates and Modifications
9.1 App Updates
We may release updates to improve the App, add features, or fix bugs. You are encouraged to keep the App updated to the latest version.
9.2 Terms Updates
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App for any reason, without notice.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
